What it is

Most teams run Player of the Match on a group chat, and it turns into a mess of replies, missed votes and someone doing sums on a Sunday night. This does the same job properly.

You add your squad once. Every match, the same link collects votes for first, second and third place. First is worth three points, second two, third one, so a quiet player who is consistently rated picks up a real total across the season rather than losing out to one big performance.

You get a table per match and a running table for the season, plus a list of who has voted so you know whether to give the chat a nudge. Player of the Season is then a number on a screen instead of an argument in a car park.

How it works

  1. Add your squad

    Paste one name per line. First names only, and an initial gets added if two players share one.

  2. Share the link

    Copy your voting link and drop it into the team WhatsApp group. That is the whole setup.

  3. Parents vote

    They pick the match date and their top three. No account, no app, no password, about fifteen seconds.

  4. Read the table

    Sign in and see the match result and the season table, updated as votes come in.

Three kinds of vote, kept apart

A parents vote and a players vote rarely agree, and that is half the interest. Each kind has its own link and its own separate table, so nothing is ever mixed into one average.

The one most teams start with. Each family votes once on behalf of their own child, so twenty players means twenty votes rather than whoever shouts loudest.

Players rating each other. It is the vote that means the most in the changing room and it often lands on someone the touchline missed.

You and your coaching staff. Each member of staff votes on their own behalf, so an assistant coach is not left out of the record.

Built for children's teams first

This is used by under 7s through to under 18s, so the safe answer was the starting point rather than a setting you have to find.

  • First name plus an initialThere is nowhere to store a surname, a date of birth, a photo or any contact detail for a child. An initial is added only when two players share a first name.
  • No logins for votersParents are not asked for a name, an email address or an account. Nothing identifying the voter is recorded against a vote.
  • Private linksEvery voting link carries a long random token, so the address cannot be guessed. If one ever gets out, you rotate it and the old address stops working.
  • Nothing indexed, nothing trackedVoting pages are not indexed by search engines and are listed nowhere on this site. No analytics, no advertising and no third-party scripts or fonts anywhere.
  • Results stay with youOnly the manager who owns the team can see the tables and the vote log. There are no public leaderboards.
  • Delete means deletedDelete a team and its players, staff, links and votes go with it. Delete your account and everything goes. Nothing is kept quietly in the background.

Manager how-to

Five steps, and the first four are the setup you only do once. Give it ten minutes before training and it is running for the season.

  1. Sign up with a magic link

    Put in your email address on the sign-up page and we send you a link. Click it and you are in. There is no password to choose or forget, and the same link is how you sign back in later.

  2. Add your squad by pasting one name per line

    Create your team, give it a name and a season label such as 2026 to 2027, then paste your squad in as a list with one name on each line. First names only.

    If you have two players called Noah, add the initial yourself so voters can tell them apart. Noah H and Noah T is exactly right.

  3. Copy your voting link

    Your parents link is ready as soon as the team is created. Copy it from the dashboard, or use the QR code if you would rather print something for the touchline. Switch on the players or managers vote too if you want them, and each gets its own separate link.

  4. Share it on WhatsApp

    Paste the link into your team group with a line about what it is for. Pin it, and parents can use the same message every week rather than hunting for it.

    Keep it to your own team's group. Anyone with the link can vote, so it is not for a public post.

  5. Check the results after each match

    Sign in, pick the match date, and read the table. You can also see who has voted and who has not, which is usually all the nudge a group chat needs.

    The season table updates itself as matches go in. When the season ends, start a new one and last season's results stay where they are.

Set it up before the next fixture

It takes about ten minutes, and after that it runs on one link and a Sunday morning look at the table.
